Although I identify myself with the Jewish religion, probably the only thing I actually believe in is Karma.

To make a long story short, on Sunday G-d tried to throw me from the sky.

In the middle of my flight to Orlando for the shuttle landing, something very unusual occurred. Even though my plane was cruising at 34,000 feet, we flew right threw the wake of a higher plane. Without warning, we lost lift and began to drop. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt at the time and had to grab the elbow rests to stay in my seat. The plane pitched back and forth while we were falling to the ground. Then the women began to scream. I am not talking about gasping or even shrieking. I heard the most blood curdling cry and that's what made me think it was over. It actually pissed me off and I yelled at them to stop screaming. I figured most planes are designed to handle drops in altitude like that, but the fact we started spinning out of control had me worried. It felt like hydro-planing in the sky.

It's good to be alive.

Maybe I'll start thinking about the future a little more.

Karma. Yes. That was my first thought when I saw my car in the morning.

I'm co-opting that plane story as my own. It will become a scene in a movie some day.

Holy Shit Andy! I would've freaked out sooo hard. I'd have to wait before getting on a plane again.
